S&ME appoints project manager to its Nashville branch

NashvilleS&ME, a leading Engineering and environmental company in the Southeast, announces the addition of a highly experienced geotechnical and construction materials testing engineer to its Nashville staff.

Timothy D. Smith, PE, joins S&ME with a dozen years of engineering practice in Nashville and elsewhere in Tennessee.  Smith’s BS degree in civil engineering is from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. He is a registered professional engineer in Tennessee and Kentucky and is also a FACE® Certified Floor Flatness Technician.

John Agee, PE, branch manager for S&ME in Nashville, calls Smith a key addition to his staff.  “Tim brings a new dimension helpful to many of the clients we serve in this area and will help broaden our expertise in bringing solutions to projects both challenging and routine,” Agee said.

Smith’s experience ranges from construction quality control, field foundations evaluation, and concrete quality control and assurance to project and technician management for water and wastewater projects.  Among projects he has managed are the biosolids remediation for Nashville’s Wastewater Treatment plant, expansion of the Madison (TN) Wastewater Treatment plant, management and engineering for a proposed storm water overflow tank in Nashville, and a storm water overflow abatement tank in Knoxville.
