Something to celebrate
This year is S&ME’s 35th anniversary – a longevity I’m pleased to note. If you’re a client or prospective client, an employee or prospective employee, we hope you see the occasion as a mark of our experience, technical excellence and quality of service. You can likely deduce that we’re fiercely dedicated to honesty and integrity at every level and in every encounter.
Naturally, we’ve looked back to the company’s humble beginnings. And it was gratifying to recognize that S&ME still follows core values, instilled in 1973, that started this company along a path to greatness. We intend these values, reflected above, to be good for both our clients and our employees.
It’s fair to say we’ve added a bit of emphasis here and there over the years. A prime example is our unconditional dedication to safety. We work within a culture of safety awareness and practice beneficial to our clients as well as our employees and their families.
By coincidence, this 35th year corresponds with my first year as president of S&ME. I feel good about that. I’m fortunate to benefit from three and a half decades of S&ME history, years dedicated to the finest standards of the professional services we provide – accompanied by our award-winning innovation.
Our anniversary overlaps with economically challenging times coinciding with an era when technologies are advancing at a pace never before encountered in our professions. This makes all the more important our ongoing commitment to provide technological leadership, excellent engineering and scientific solutions, and fulfilling careers mutually rewarding to our clients and staff. Meanwhile, we continue a tradition of good corporate citizenship by this year performing a minimum of 35 community service projects.
I believe 35 years has given us the wherewithal to overcome the challenges, yours and ours. That’s something to celebrate.
