COLLEGE RECRUITMENT

S&ME is currently recruiting entry-level professionals to perform technical assignments under the coaching of mid- to senior-level professionals.  Entry-level staff professionals perform a variety of tasks to help them develop industry knowledge and acquire experience with S&ME staff, methods, practices and programs which should eventually lead to registration as a Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, etc.

Typical duties and responsibilities may include but will not be limited to: writing proposals and reports on routine projects with senior review by a licensed professional; analyzing work according to standard procedures on simple projects or on parts of more complex projects; gaining competence in field inspections and characteristics of typical design systems; and reviewing for correctness data collected personally by the professional or furnished by laboratory and field staff.

S&ME will be on campus at the following universities:

University of Tennessee-Knoxville
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
