MATERIALS TESTING FIELD TECHNICIAN

S&ME, Inc., an engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a full-time Materials Testing Field Technicians to be based in Fayetteville, NC.  Materials Testing Field Technician is responsible for testing of soil, concrete, stone base, pavements, masonry, and structural steel on construction sites.  S&ME will train employees without work experience but prefer that candidates have at least some construction related work history.

For field exploration/drilling candidates, a commercial drivers license is preferred.

Qualified Candidates must have:

• High school diploma, two year technical degree preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in materials testing
• Certifications from ICC, ACI, NICET and AWS are preferred.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) per S&ME Fleet Management Program Standards

Qualified candidates should also have basic math and writing skills, strong work ethics, and the ability to work as a team player. A company truck, Nextel phone, and safety equipment will be provided at our office.
