Charlotte Brings Home 2013 ACEC NC Honors Award for UNC Charlotte Stadium

The new UNC Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium saw a victory when the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) awarded S&ME an Engineering Excellence Award for the project. The award submittal focused on the geotechnical challenges of the site and the innovative solutions provided by Duane Bents, PE, and Kristen Hill, PE, PG. Due to the complex site issues, the university took an unusual step also awarding the materials testing and special inspection contracts to S&ME. Read more about the project.
