We are excited to be recently named Top 10 of Nashville’s Largest Engineering Firms by Nashville Business Journal!
Our Nashville office opened in 1989 and since then, the region has experienced significant growth that we are proud to have contributed to. - Nashville International Airport (BNA) Concourse D – BNA Vision is a dynamic growth and expansion plan for Nashville International Airport. The first project of the BNA Vision plan involved the design and construction of Concourse D and the Terminal Wings project. This 110,000 square foot concourse addition to the terminal provided six additional and 36,000 square feet of additional TSA security lanes and baggage claim conveyor systems to accommodate the growth in passengers. In addition, the project adds 36,000 square feet of additional TSA screening lanes and baggage claim conveyor systems to accommodate the increase in passengers. S&ME services included all airside and landside civil, surveying, and landscape architecture coordination throughout the project in regards to site layout, permitting, grading & drainage, utilities, concrete apron design, asphalt roadway design, and landscaping
- Bicentennial Capitol Mall – S&ME is proud to be involved in several aspects of this Tennessee State Park. The Mall is anchored at one end by the State Capitol Building, and at the other by the Tennessee State Museum and the Tennessee State Library Archives Building. S&ME provided civil site engineering and geotechnical services for the Museum, a $160 million building, whose mission is to procure, preserve, exhibit, and interpret objects which relate to the social, political, economic, and cultural history of Tennessee and Tennesseans. On the other side of the plaza sits the new 165,000 SF, $125 million Library Archives building. S&ME supported Turner Construction with construction testing and special inspection services. In addition, our survey department provided boundary and topographic surveys for the museum, archives building, and the larger mall area, including the Farmers’ Market and Visitor Center.
- June Lake – June Lake is a 780-acre master-planned mixed-use development and is planned to serve as the Gateway to the City of Spring Hill, TN. The master plan uniquely blends commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, and recreational land uses to create a vibrant lifestyle center with pedestrian-friendly streets and easy transition between work, home, and play. The community design is intended to serve as the Gateway to the heart of Spring Hill as an interconnected network of neighborhoods and vibrant commercial districts. The S&ME team provided preliminary engineering, long-range utility planning and strategies for build-out of the project, sewer upgrades, planning and designing domestic water services, roadway re-alignment/design of Buckner Lane, Agency coordination with the City of Spring Hill and TDOT, and bidding assistance for the construction of Buckner Lane.
