S&ME provided a full-time certified technician to inspect the metalizing process for steel pipe piles. Our team monitored the environmental conditions, visually inspected the blasted surface, checked the surface profile, verified dry film thickness readings of the metalizing (aluminum) prior to applying the seal coat, observed and monitored the adhesion testing on the metalizing, performed cut tests during metalizing operation at various locations, performed visual checks and dry film thickness readings on the final seal coats for final acceptance. This project lasted 9 months from 2014-2015.
