Their technical knowledge is one of the cornerstones of our company and a differentiator for our clients’ projects.

Chris is a Senior Environmental Scientist, Principal Project Manager based in S&ME’s Columbia, SC office with 24 years of experience performing natural and environmental studies.
His project experience includes management of stream/wetland impact permitting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (CWA Section 404) and state regulatory agencies (CWA Section 401), wetland/stream delineation and functional assessments, state/federal protected species/habitat surveys, U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFWS) section 7 consultation and Biological Assessments, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and compliance. He specializes in environmental studies related to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant and loan projects.
He has provided professional services for industrial, governmental (federal, state, county, local), transportation, residential, commercial, and pipeline projects in multiple Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. He is also a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), an Environmental Professional (EP), a Master Naturalist, and an S&ME Senior Reviewer.
Chris’ signature economic development permitting projects in South Carolina include the permitting and mitigation coordination aspects of the Scout Motors facility in Richland County, the Gallo Winery Distribution facility in Chester County, the Carolina Panthers Training Facility in York County, and the BMW Battery Assembly Facility in Spartanburg County.
