ADM Industrial Wastewater Aeration Basin

The project involved a 12-million gallon aeration basin addition to an industrial wastewater treatment system located in a confined area. The coastal area was prone to heavy rainfall from frequent storms. The client, therefore, required a reliable, yet cost-effective underdrain dewatering system.  S&ME’s innovative design utilized on-site sandy borrow material for dam embankment. The process used a textured geomembrane liner and created a continuous containment system for penetrating structures. The dam structure met regulatory requirements and provided a cost-effective solution that exceeded our client expectations.
