Randy Martin joined S&ME in 1993 and has served in many engineering and management positions in offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah.  Randy became an S&ME Vice President in 2011.  His primary responsibilities today are to provide oversight and direction to S&ME’s Quality.

Randy has a passion for construction materials testing and inspections, and enjoys helping others solve challenges both big and small.  He credits a long list of senior mentors that challenged him throughout his career to be a problem solver.  “When you embrace the fact that you’re probably not the smartest person in the room,” states Randy, “you start to understand the importance of teamwork, and appreciate what others bring to the table.”

Randy is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.  He currently serves as Vice Chair for the GBA (Geoprofessional Business Association – formerly ASFE) Construction Materials Engineering and Testing (CoMET) Business Council.
