Larry Armstrong is a Principal Engineer and Project Manager who has worked for S&ME since 1986. The earlier portion of his career was highlighted by training and experience across S&ME’s varied service lines of geotechnical engineering, construction services, environmental assessment and engineering, natural resource services, and field exploration. From Department Manager positions, Larry transitioned to Client Services Manager for one of S&ME’s largest electric utility clients. In that capacity, Larry is instrumental in S&ME’s transition to the utility industry safety culture.

Since 2005, Larry has provided multiple tenures of Staff Augmentation within his client’s organization. The client selected Larry for these roles based on his 25 years of providing environmental, geotechnical, and geo-civil engineering services across their generation and operation fleets; moreover, his devotion to the client and their personnel.

Larry holds an undergraduate degree from Clemson University in civil engineering, a graduate degree in geotechnical engineering and water resources from the University of South Carolina, and is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina.
