Rick Bruce has over 35 years of experience planning, executing, and managing environmental assessment and remediation projects. Specifically, he has worked with a variety of governmental and private clients while successfully managing many complex EPA-grant-funded Brownfields Inventory and Assessment projects. Rick holds broad experience in environmental services, including geologic investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, asbestos and hazardous materials assessment and abatement planning, and materials and regulated waste management. He is also skilled in facilitating interactions between owners, regulators, and other stakeholders during the assessment process.
Rick earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Murray State University. He is based in Knoxville, TN, and is a licensed Professional Geologist in Tennessee and Kentucky as well as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Rick serves as a Senior Reviewer for projects and a mentor for junior staff across S&ME.
