Clinch River Nuclear Site

S&ME is conducting a supplemental geotechnical investigation in support of licensing for an Advanced Nuclear Reactor (Unit 1) for the Tennessee Valley Authority. The site is located at the former Clinch River Breeder Reactor site that was terminated in the early 1980’s near Oak Ridge, Tennessee. S&ME’s field and laboratory program consisted of geotechnical drilling in soil and rock, downhole and surface geophysics, and static, index, and dynamic testing.
