Kairos Power Fluoride Salt-Cooled High Temperature Test Reactor

S&ME conducted a seismic, geotechnical, and hydrologic site characterization study for the Hermes test reactor near Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The objective of the investigation was to develop site data and parameters that supported the design and licensing of the reactor and supporting facilities. This included establishing the site-specific seismic design basis, geotechnical design parameters, and flooding design parameters that meet the requirements of Chapter 2, Section 2.4 and 2.5 of NUREG-1537.
