S&ME is proud to support the NCDOT Materials and Test Unit on two projects across the state:

I-26 Green River Gorge Bridge, Saluda, NC

S&ME performed visual, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic testing to identify the location and extent of fatigue cracking in existing bridge steel. S&ME also performed inspection and testing during the repair process.

Bridge Rehab, Durham, NC

S&ME performed visual and magnetic particle testing during the strengthening and repair of existing bridge steel. Provided a report documenting size location and extent of repair welding discontinuities and member deficiencies.
