NCDOT M&T On-Call Contracts

S&ME provided services to NCDOT under the Materials and Tests On-Call contract including coatings inspections, aggregate quality assurance, pavement testing/design, structure steel inspections, materials testing, and regional laboratory resources. Our inspectors evaluate welding during both shop fabrication and field applications and structural steel bolting inspections; they work closely with engineers and client representatives to confirm all welding is done correctly per standard requirements. Our NACE Certified Coating Inspection consists of evaluating surface preparations, measuring substrates, and evaluating the overall performance of the coating system for corrosion prevention, code, standard, and specification compliance.
