Tellico Village Pavement Condition Survey
S&ME provided all labor, equipment, and engineering supervision necessary to conduct a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) for all pavement street segments within the Tellico Village in Loudon, TN owned and maintained by the Tellico POA (approximately 115 centerline miles). This PCI involved riding, and walking a sample of each segment and observing and quantifying the severity and extent of each pavement distress.
The Standard Practice for Roads and Parking Lots Pavements Condition Index Surveys (ASTM: D6433) along with NCDOT/ ITRE methodology was used to collect following distresses: Alligator Cracking, Longitudinal and Transverse Cracking, Block Cracking, Rutting, Oxidation, Raveling and Weathering, Bleeding, Ride Quality/ Surface Defects, and Patching and Potholes. S&ME then analyzed the data collected from the pavement survey and provided an assessment report including GIS maps of the pavement conditions.
As a final project deliverable S&ME provided a five-year pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plan to the Client, as well as estimated budget associated with the pavement recommendations.
